Otter Central Battery

Scope: Review

Review of a central battery in the Otter area to ensure compliance with all safety, ERCB, and environmental concerns. Modifications to main central facility included installation of a treater, FWKO, new VRU compressor, dehydrator, liquid/ liquids exchanger, and new water disposal system.

 

Fort MacKay Centrifuge Oil Treating Facility

Scope: Installation

Installation of the Fort MacKay centrifuge oil treating facility. Modifications to main central facility included installation of a new centrifuge building with associated flocculent and process packages, piping, completely new centrifuge piping and building, feed tanks, pump skid, MCC trailer, office trailer, and portable disc stacks. Centrifuge building (20m2) was elevated approximately 5 metres in the air, and 3 portable skids were installed in the building. Building was elevated to allow solids to drop into storage containers. Project utilized modular construction for all skids, building, and centrifuge modules.

 

Foster Creek Centrifuge Facility

Scope: Installation

Installation of the Foster Creek centrifuge oil treating facility. Modifications to main central facility included installation of new centrifuge skids with associated flocculent and process packages, and new centrifuge piping installed in existing building. Centrifuges were elevated to allow solids to drop into storage containers. Project utilized modular construction for all skids, building, and centrifuge modules.

 

Kaybob Oil Battery

Scope: Detailed design

Provided engineering design for a grassroots oil battery (2500 bbl/day). Equipment consisted of inlet separation, spiral heat exchanger, treater, VRU, pump skid, and water injection system. Battery designed to accommodate blending scheme, which included tank storage and metering to blend heavy oil, condensate, and conventional oil.

 

Stettler Oil Treatment Tank Farm

Stettler, Alberta

Scope: Detailed design

Responsible for providing detailed engineering and design services for upgrade of the Stettler oil treatment tank farm. Modifications to main central facility included installation of new secondary containment, new oil tanks, new piping (complete with concrete utilidor), and new central piping building. Completed tank farm was moved to new location with minimal disturbance to production operations.
