We are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer. The role requires delivering application solutions that satisfy business and other stakeholder needs. This person has leadership skills, highly organized, attention to detail coupled with a fantastic sales like demeanor when interacting with clients and vendors.


  • Recent grad with Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Eligible for registration with APEGA as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
  • Familiar with solution delivery, leadership and Project Management methodology.  Originality and ingenuity are required for assisting in practical and economical solutions to problems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment .
  • Excellent communication/negotiation skills. Able to integrate across all levels of the organization.
  • Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sr Project Engineer in development of project specific plans and drawings, DBM's, specifications, tendering and purchasing equipment, materials and services from approved vendors, contractors and fabricators for Oil and Gas projects.
  • Assist Sr Project Engineer in preparation and acquiring regulatory permits and licenses necessary to complete the work for submission to the authorities.
  • Familiar with relevent oil and gas pipeline and facility codes and standards (ASME, CSA, API).
  • Assist Sr Project Engineer in completing project closeouts within the required time lines including reconciling costs, finalizing contracts permits and licenses, obtaining, distributing and filing as-built drawings, data sheets, operating manuals and data books and quality control documentation.
  • Assist in identifying, reporting and assisting with reconciling any deviation to project standards, practices, policies and specifications.
  • Occassional travel may be required.
